New York Laryngological Society
The first established society of laryngologists in America and in the world

old-logo

Founded by Clinton Wagner, MD October 13, 1873, it is the very first institution in the United States comprised of physician surgeons who exclusively treat diseases of the nose and throat. Its purpose was to study and advance the science and art of laryngology and allied specialties. Today it is comprised of 50 active members who currently practice Laryngology as a focus of their Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery practice. In a series of four meetings per year, the group comes together to discuss challenging cases, new technology, and ongoing research in diseases of voice, swallowing and airway.
